Ladies and gentlemen,

I would like to extend my gratitude to you for being here today to mark the 10th anniversary of the Office of the Foreign Investment Ombudsman.

It is a privilege to be here and speak before the CEOs of foreign-invested companies in Korea.

Before I begin my speech, I extend my deep appreciation to my fellow Koreans and foreign investors like you for making a tremendous effort to weather this severe economic turmoil.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to take a look at the current economic situation and share my thoughts about the future of Korea's economy with you.
