CONSOLIDATED FISCAL BALANCE (PRELIMINARY) IN H1 2011

 

 

The consolidated fiscal balance in the first half of 2011 was a deficit of 2.3 trillion won (preliminary) while the consolidated fiscal balance excluding social security funds for the same period registered a deficit of 19.2 trillion won (preliminary). The consolidated fiscal balance on a year-on-year basis increased 9.1 trillion won, mainly led by an increase in tax revenues. The consolidated fiscal balance excluding social security funds also rose 10.2 trillion won from a year ago.

 

*Social security funds are national pension funds, private school teacher’s pension funds, accident insurance funds, and employment insurance funds.

 

* Consolidated fiscal spending to budget in H1 (%): 53.3 (2007) → 53.1 (2008) → 57.7
(2009) → 58.5 (2010) → 56.1 (2011)
